Goods in Team Leader

Mon - Friday 6am - 2pm.

Responsible for Stock Integrity, Location management, Replenishment & Receipt Management.

Core Duties



  • Manage and work as part of the morning goods in team and process ensuring all deliveries are received and booked in on time

  • Manage the picking team ensuring all orders are completed correctly and on time in order to reduce the workload on the afternoon shift

  • Ensue picking priorities are adhered to allowing the process to flow

  • Monitor and check goods in & receipting procedures are adhered to

  • Organise the workload for the Goods In team and Supervise Warehouse operatives

  • Ensuring the morning team have enough resources to complete their work adequately.

    All equipment requirements should be reported to the Warehouse Supervisor

  • Develop Warehouse operative skillset

  • Record staff development using individual training records

  • Support the Warehouse Supervisor by ensuring cable is cut in a timely manner

  • Overall stock management, ensuring stock is replenished into the Warehouse when there is adequate space

  • Monitor and assist with daily replenishment requirements

  • Raise and document any missing pick face identification labels with the stock controller

  • Assist in process evaluation and improvement planning to support stock integrity initiatives.

  • Make suggestions for improved warehouse layout/footprint ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and any other local legislative compliance.

  • Ensure compliance with local Warehouse procedures assist in training staff where appropriate

  • Hold daily meetings with the goods in team to ensure everyone is aware of the daily priority and instill motivation

  • Produce a detailed handover email for the afternoon shift, outlining status of duties etc..

  • Willingness to flex hours with regards to the requirements of role.

  • Holiday and sickness cover as and when required

  • Ensure the site is clean and tidy and health & safety is always adhered to

  • Ensuring Warehouse equipment is maintained in-line with safety procedure and policy, scheduling maintenance checks of equipment Complying with H&S regulations in all aspects

  • Continuous quality improvement

  • Assisting the Warehouse Supervisor/Manager where needed and appropriate




Experience/skill sets required.



  • Experience of working in a fast paced, preferably warehouse or transport-based environment

  • IT competent with a good level of knowledge within MS Excel

  • A fork Lift licence is essential

  • Capable of working from own initiative whilst also following process and procedure

  • Good attention to detail and a good finisher

  • Willing to learn & positive attitude.
