On-Trade Sales Manager – North West England – Established International Drinks Brand - £30K + Benefits

Position:              On-Trade Sales Manager

Salary:                  £30,000 - £35,000 + Benefits

Location:             North West England

My client is an Established International Drinks Brand who are looking to break into the UK market.

They have a fantastic range of products and looking for talented passionate individuals to join them on their exciting journey.

They are seeking a Business Development Manager to join their team.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying and securing new clients in the North West England on-trade market, building and maintaining these relationships to help develop their accounts and adding value to the business.

This role will involve a lot of travelling across the North West and other parts of Northern England.

Responsibilities include:


  • New business development in on-trade venues, establishing direct relationships, securing listings and growing long term sustainable partnerships, then growing existing business
  • Develop a reactive and pro-active sales strategy, monitoring and evaluating relevant KPIs
  • Negotiate as necessary across a varied client base, with thorough account planning, proactive management of revenue/margins
  • Devise and take part in marketing, events and PR actions as required
  • Aim for a high conversion rate of enquiry to sales while maximising revenue
  • Actively increasing customer retention by providing after sales care
  • Execute and activate new product or brand launches to maximise brand exposure.

The Ideal On-Trade Sales Manager Candidate:


  • Must have a track record of field sales within the on-trade markets, ideally with a minimum of 3 years.
  • Must have a great understanding of the drinks industry.
  • Well educated ideally with WSET qualifications.
  • Proven track record of selling a product, ideally come with some network of contacts.
  • Confident, persuasive, with a ‘can do’ attitude.
