My client is a growing Premium Tea business who have ambitions to become a market leader and quickly gained a reputation for delivering an award winning organic tasty product.

They are seeking a National Business Development Manager to their Sales team to drive the growth of the business.

The National Business Development Manager will be responsible for delivering the passion, commitment and commercial success required to meet business ambitions and objectives, enhancing the reputation of the brand, whilst building productive client relationships and being accountable for the future success of the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for selling, promoting and delivering the company’s product portfolio and delivering its revenue targets 
  • Working with clients to understand their needs and achieve their goals
  • Drafting business proposals with clients, defining requirements, timelines and overall value proposition
  • Monitoring Key performance indicators and business deliverables
  • Acting as a Brand Ambassador to and for clients and consumers
  • Planning, organising and facilitating client meetings
  • Driving sales and revenue

The Ideal Business Development Manager candidate:

  • Minimum of 2 yeas sales experience; ideally with some knowledge of Tea products and premium end clients, but this is not essential.
  • Ideally have some network of connections within the foodservice, retail or catering sectors.
  • Enthusiastic and outgoing nature.
  • Be a self-starter who is driven to succeed.
  • A customer-oriented approach to account management which aims to exceed expectations.
  • Experience in both reactive and proactive sales skills.
  • A passion for expanding business.
  • A strong and assertive style to self-management and motivation.
  • Proven experience of working within a sales environment.
  • Proven experience of developing and increasing business.
