Location: Worthing / Remote

Salary: £35K - £40K doe

Our client are looking for a Senior Engineer (Network, Field & Systems) to join their growing team of Engineers who are quick to build relationships at all levels, highly organised, strong communicators and understand the need for accuracy in all aspects of the role.

We have a unique opportunity for a Monitoring Engineer with experience in Systems Administration who is looking to progress their career and join our client's Professional Services team.

Their goal is to turn the successful candidate into a leading SolarWinds Monitoring Engineer.

The successful candidate(s) will be given enhanced training on the SolarWinds Orion platform, to kickstart their career in the world of Monitoring.

Their experts will work with and train you to:

* Understand all facets of the SolarWinds Orion platform

* Ensure all professional service engagements are delivered to a high standard

* Complete engagements remotely or onsite to customers

* Create documents based on requirements, including Consultancy Logs, HLDs and LLDs

* Ensure compliance to company policies and processes

* Deliver SolarWinds training to customers

* Work with in their ethos of internal knowledge sharing amongst team members, assist in the training of other team members in own area of expertise

* Contribute to the internal repository of knowledge resources

Apply now if you have:

* System Administration experience within an enterprise environment covering servers, storage, virtualisation and applications

* Knowledge of network and application management protocols such as SNMP, SNMP traps, syslog, ICMP, WMI and NetFlow

* Excellent organisational and time management skills

* The ability to plan, organise and prioritise own workload

* Previous use of CRM/database applications

* Working technical knowledge across a wide range of platforms

Desirable Skills (not essential):

* Working knowledge of LAN / WAN configurations, Switches, Routers and security appliances

* Network administration and troubleshooting skills (DHCP/Static, TCP/IP, DNS)

* Scripting/programming knowledge in PowerShell, Perl, Python or similar
