Pricing Analyst


As Pricing Analyst you will be joining a globally recognised company based in Banbury, on a permanent, full-time basis (Monday - Friday) 37.5 hours.

The purpose of the role is to support the Pricing Manager with analysis, insight, and implementation of category pricing strategies for an assigned set of products, while also identifying opportunities for revenue and profit optimisation.



This role will be a hybrid of working from home and in the office (one - two days per week) but there needs to be flexibility to come to the office at additional times, when needed.



What will you be doing as European Pricing Analyst?




  • Leading Product Group Pricing strategies

  • Identifying the right price position for new technologies and products

  • Managing Product Lifecycle pricing

  • Maintaining competitor product matching lists

  • Maintaining up to date list prices

  • Validating and challenging cost prices changes

  • Collating and distributing price reporting

  • Modelling, analysing, and implementing European category pricing strategies

  • Maximising revenue and profit through the application of strategic pricing levers and revenue management techniques

  • Validating, reviewing, and challenging cost base to ensure competitive position

  • Delivering credible insight, analysis and modelling of pricing strategies

  • Performing competitive analysis and report on Competitive Price metrics across the business

  • Influencing the promotional programme for the category

  • Implementing a series of pricing trials/tests to further develop understanding around areas such as price elasticity and promotional effectiveness

  • Participating in monthly category pricing review meetings

  • Supporting cross functional pricing initiatives, including influencing the discounts, quotes and tender processes



As Pricing Analyst you must be / have:




  • Experience in data management and able to maintain accurate information and attributes for a high number of products

  • The ability to write good, clear copy in a variety of styles with accurate spelling and grammar as well as editing/proofing skills for both online and offline media

  • Good knowledge of Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and web content management (knowledge of HTML preferred but not essential)

  • Good analytical skills to identify performance issues, spot trends to inform strategy (preferred, but not essential)

  • Enthusiastic, show initiative and have a willingness to learn

  • Both target and deadline driven

  • High level of personal organisation skills with the ability to prioritise own workload, while maintaining focus on key objectives

  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate at all levels, both orally and written

  • Can adopt a flexible approach to changing priorities

  • Strong understanding and use of Microsoft Office and Google Office tools
