Procurement Manager

Procurement Manager required to join a global leading company chemical manufacturer on their site in Mirfield, West Yorkshire.

This is truly exciting role as an Procurement Manager as you will be part of one of the world's largest consumer goods companies driven by their goal to make sustainable living a commonplace.

This company are present in close to 200 countries and have 400+ brands with billions of people using their products globally.

Responsibilities of the Procurement Manager;

  • Oversee a team of 2 Buyer's and 1 Senior Buyer / Purchasing Manager as the senior (Procurement Manager).

  • Continuing to establish clear strategies for local suppliers and sourcing

  • Adopt risk management approaches to ensure supply continuity together with cultivating and implementing agreed measures of performance

  • Lead and represent the team in interactions with UK Leadership in conjunction with regional and global functions

  • Clearly define roles and responsibilities in all relative activities, enhance and implement a professional development programme

  • Central to Process development, continuous improvement and fostering of the category management approach to fully leverage spend

  • Adopt supplier relationship management approaches to enhance mutual business benefit

  • Fully participate in the Integrated Business Planning processes to enhance supply reliability and contingency planning ensuring spend analysis and data is fully utilised to deliver year on year spend improvement

To be successful in this position as Procurement Manager, experience working within Indirect and Direct is essential.

Experience from within the chemical, petro-chem or oil and gas industries would certainly be beneficial.

Knowledge of Engineering, Machinery, Spares and Indirects is a key function of this role.
