Production Manager

This Production Manager opportunity working with a market-leading manufacturing group with a network of manufacturing facilities in the UK and Europe.

Due to company expansion and CAPEX investment, they are now seeking to appoint an experienced Production Manager to join their established team at their site near Dudley and take their manufacturing operations to the next level.

Key responsibilities:

• Leadership of 60 reports, across an engineering-led manufacturing / production environment, covering, automated - Fabrication, welding & painting manufacturing processes


• The development of the organisational structure to identify and establish the right reporting structure to include team leaders


• People Management, including the motivation and mentoring of your team to effectively problem solve and develop their careers


• Implementation and management of health and safety standards

Essential qualifications & Experience:

• Experience within a senior production/ manufacturing leadership position


• Leadership and people management skills and the ability to build, motivate, develop, and improve teams


• Good influencing & communication skills


• The ability to manage production activities, KPI metrics, analysing results to recommend & implement required improvements in performance


• Familiar with continuous improvement tools and lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5s, Lean Six Sigma, VSM, SMED, TPM, OEE etc, within manufacturing operations
