Duty Lawyer

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a reputable law firm, based in South Manchester, which is in need of an experienced Duty Lawyer to join their team.

The successful candidate will be working in a supportive and forward thinking team with excellent career prospects.

ROLE: Duty Lawyer

LOCATION: South Manchester

SALARY: £30,000 - £40,000 (flexible depending upon experience)

The Role:

• The position will report to the head of the Magistrate's team and will require you to service your own Duty slots


• You will be responsible for maintaining client relations, taking instructions and acting upon them


• You will be required to prepare cases for Trial, conduct Advocacy, brief council and handle any other administrative duties required for the successful running of the team

The Person:

• A qualified Solicitor, Lawyer or Legal Executive with experience in Criminal Defence law


• Ideally someone who has had a Duty Lawyer role previously


• Someone with excellent administrative a client relation skills
