Procurement / Purchasing Manager

The Procurement Manager / Purchasing Manager position offers the opportunity to work with a market-leading, international engineering manufacturing organization, based close to the Milton Keynes area.

Reporting to the Supply Director the position is working as part of a procurement and supply chain team, in which you will be responsible for a multimillion-pound commodity portfolio, supporting a number of UK-wide manufacturing plants.

Experience covering commodity analysis and procurement of any of the following commodities is desirable; steel, metal, timber, chemical powders etc.



Key Duties and Experience required of Procurement / Purchasing Manager vacancy:
, Data analysis (spending, pricing, quantities), market trends, including risk management when sourcing and procuring commodities such as steel, metal, timber, chemical powders etc (Very important)
, Experience with strategic sourcing, supplier selection, qualification, and relationship management, including development and implementation of strategies (Very important)
, Development category and supplier catalogues, including
, Contracts and supplier agreements experience (important)
, Cost control reports, methods, quality improvement, and lead time improvement (important)
