Canteen Manager

A well-established food retailer in Yorkshire has an exciting opening for a Canteen Manager.

This position will be based in a facility with over 500 employees, where state-of-the-art investments have recently been made to improve production efficiency.


Roles & Responsibilities as a Canteen Manager:



  • Leading a team of up to 7 Canteen Assistants in preparing hot and cold food for employees

  • Prepares meals and participates in the cooking process

  • Assisting in a variety of food audits, including pest control, BRC, food hygiene, and food safety

  • Ensure that food ingredients are ordered and delivered in a timely manner

  • Contributing to the selection and variety of menu items

  • Managing all aspects of training and development within the team


I would appreciate seeing CVs from individuals who:



  • Have supervisory experience in a similar setting

  • Have qualifications in catering and food safety - preferably Food Safety Level 3 or equivalent

  • Have worked/currently work in one of the following roles: Head Chef, Canteen Manager, Catering Manager, Canteen Supervisor or Kitchen Manager.

  • Worked in the catering industry for at least three years preparing and cooking food

  • Engage in innovative thinking and can support new ideas, events, and activities throughout the year
