Kinship and Assessment Social Worker

A Leicestershire County Council are looking for a Social Worker to join their Kinship Assessment Team.

This is a Locum Social Work role.

The ideal Social Worker will have knowledge and experience working in a Kinship Assessment environment.

The key to success in this role is to be able to start a contract confidently without the need for supervision.

Your responsibilities as a Kinship and Assessment Social Worker:

• Complete connected persons Assessments and supporting SGO documents


• Create evidence-based assessments using Leicester City Councils Connected Persons


• Work with carers, applicants, children, and young people in accordance with consent, confidentially, complaints and GDPR guidelines


• Ensure records and fostering documentation on Leicester City Councils system are up to date

Requirements of you as a Kinship and Assessment Social Worker:

• A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)


• A valid Social Work England registration


• Have competent knowledge and experience of CIN/ CP work


• A valid UK Driving Licence and vehicle is preferred

Location: Leicester

Umbrella pay rate: £36.00 per hour
