A high-profile manufacturing business in the Darlington area is seeking to recruit a Health Safety & Environmental Project Officer to work on a 24 month Contract basis.

This Interesting role will be focused on the implementation of a new manufacturing line with regards to all things Health Safety & Environment:

The Health and Safety Project Engineer role:

• Ensure that the new production line and other processes are designed with HSE at forefront.
  
  


• Assist the Project team by providing CDM guidance to ensure the site remains legally compliant.
  
  


• Attend project team meetings to advise on risk factors and any other health and safety related project considerations.
  
  


• Complete audits of CDM designated areas, including permit reviews.
  
  


• Lead and facilitate HS accident and near miss investigation and reporting.
  
  


• Undertake health and safety risk assessments and ergonomic assessments.
  
  


• Provide guidance into the ergonomic design of new production lines.


• Participate in HSE accident and near miss investigation and reporting

To be considered for this Health and Safety Engineer role, you must have:

• Project management experience.


• NEBOSH certificate.


• Strong working knowledge of CDM regulations and ergonomic principles


• 5 years or More HSE experience within a Manufacturing environment.


• Good organisational skills and the ability to work to deadlines Computer literacy and working knowledge of Microsoft office
