CNC Miller

This is an excellent opportunity for a CNC Miller to join a well-known Engineering business on a permanent basis, offering a competitive salary, 31 days holiday including stats, early finish on a Friday, with excellent modern working conditions and ongoing training and development.

They have been serving industry for 100 years from its Huddersfield base, as an independent specialist in sub-contracting CNC machining they can meet their customers' needs from concept to delivery.

Having a blend of skills, experience, and the latest machinery, from CNC milling and turning.

The CNC Miller will be responsible for:

• Setting and operating a number of multi axis machining centres


• Programming from scratch and editing (Siemens and Haas controls)


• Working directly from engineering drawings


• Advising on possible means of process improvement within the machine shop and other areas of the company

The CNC Miller will have:

• IDEAL NOT ESSENTIAL: Formal qualifications within a relevant discipline, Mechanical Engineering/Machining (Apprenticeship, NVQ, BTEC, City & Guilds Level 3 etc.)


• Worked as a CNC Miller, Machinist Engineer, or Technician previously within a precision engineering or machine shop environment


• The ability of independently programming using ISO or conversational controls

What is offer to the CNC Miller:

• Salary £28,080 to £32,240 dependant on experience


• 7.30am-4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 1.45pm finish Friday


• Overtime available at uplifted rates


• Permanent opportunity


• 31 days holiday including bank holidays


• Pension contribution
