Production Operative

They are a successful and rapidly growing privately owned business providing heat treatment, gear cutting and surface engineering of metal components to a wide range of blue-chip customers, they are looking to increase headcount at their Huddersfield site by recruiting a Production Operative on a permanent basis.



This employer is based in Huddersfield and the successful Production Operative will easily be able to commute from surrounding towns & cities including Oldham, Rochdale, Halifax, Brighouse, Bradford, and Elland.



Key Responsibilities of the Production Operative

• Operation of a broad range of equipment, including heat treatment, furnaces, induction hardeners and press machines


• Loading products onto jigs effectively in order to ensure optimum efficiency


• Shot blasting, loading ovens and washers as required


• Conduct final inspection and of completed products

Working Hours of the Production Operative:
Continental Shifts - averaging 42 hours per week which will involve weekend working

• 4 on / 4 off - 4 Days & 4 Nights


• Day Shift: 7:00 to 19:00


• Night Shift: 19:00 to 07:00

The Production Operative will have:

• Experience working within a factory or manufacturing environment


• Comfortable working in a demanding role


• Working as part of a small team, and can demonstrate an ability to work to strict deadlines and high-quality standards


• A flexible approach to working hours

In return, the Production Operative will receive:

• Annual Salary: £28,500.00


• Holiday Entitlement: 31 days per annum


• Overtime paid at uplifted rates


• Cycle to work scheme: Eligible after successful 3-month probation period
