Regional Engineering Manager

The Regional Engineering Manager vacancy is working with a PLC listed, and UK market leading manufacturing business with an impressive portfolio of manufacturing sites across the UK.

Reporting to the UK Head of Maintenance Engineering you will lead a team of central engineers across 6 sites in the South of England, whilst coordinating regional support for the factory engineering maintenance teams, assuming overall responsibility for deploying the Engineering and Maintenance strategy across your regional manufacturing sites in your regional area.

You will be responsible for building strength, competence and ownership into the factory engineering teams; Instrumental in developing and delivering process improvement projects on time, to budget whilst supporting the building of a culture focused on both sustainable and continuous improvement, where our people and process deliver exceptional performance.


  • Base salary - £70k per annum, plus company car/allowance

, Build and embed a strategic approach to PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) and to improve MTTR (Mean Time to Repair) / MTBF (Mean Time Between Failure)
, Driving a long-term investment strategy and opportunities for factory expansion and improvements
, Develop improvement projects, Working with the Regional Factory Engineering teams to Deliver group improvement projects to the region, such as RCA (Root Cause Analysis), RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance), CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), Engineering stores etc.
, Working with all stakeholders to prioritise the allocation of the central engineering resources in the region
, Supporting the regional sites with key technical knowledge during shutdowns and breakdowns, along with capex applications, plus tracking of capex projects and OEM performance

, A recognised Engineering qualification in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, Level 3 or above.
, A natural coach and team builder with exceptional interpersonal skills who enjoys developing and leading others to improve their performance.
, Is financially competent, able to construct and manage budgets and develop capital expenditure plans.
, Demonstrable experience of the planning and management of engineering projects
, Demonstrable experience of implementing and owning improvement projects, such as RCA (Root Cause Analysis), RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance), CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), Engineering stores and criticality of parts development, FMEAs etc.
