Quality Technician - Manufacturing
We are currently working with a leading specialist manufacturer based in rural Maidstone.
Due to growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Quality Technician to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
This is a hands-on role within an existing team that would suit a candidate with some relevant experience and who wants to develop their career.
Training will be made available in CMM, XRF analysis, hardness & tensile testing and ISO9001
Responsibilities will include:
Final inspection of sheet metal & machined components to drawings manufactured in their engineering plant
Inspection of incoming raw materials and sub-contract operations
In-process inspection of parts
Maintain all quality records
Assisting the Quality Engineer with non-conforming investigations
Meeting production deadlines for orders, ensuring all aspects of day-to-day inspection duties are met
Supporting the quality team in discussions with suppliers & customers over concerns & issues
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:
Some experience of fine limit sheet metal inspection or relevant experience from a comparable manufacturing background
Experience of using measurement equipment
A good understanding of reading engineering drawings, tolerances and first principle measuring techniques
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficient IT skills
Team player possessing good inter-personal skills with the ability to communicate to staff at all levels
Desirable Skills:
Experience use of CMM/Optical Machines
Experience of ERP systems
Assisting with ISO9001 management system duties
