Salary & Benefits: £75,000-£80,000

The Role

As the company's Head of Engineering you will lead the technical improvements and plant efficiency of material processing equipment in a well established metals business.

In an environment where small improvements can yield high efficiencies, it gives an engineer the opportunity to demonstrate the ability to look at system problem solving, not just responding to effect.

Using plant key operating parameters you will lead the maintenance and production processes to be able to optimise performance.

To be successful in this role you will be: 

- Highly proficient in production engineering environments with high material volumes

- Uses data to make informed decisions for production efficiencies on plant performance

- Drives maintenance for availability and continuity of plant performance

- Understands materials processing and the levers for efficiency

- Proven ability to work on small gains for overall quality of process

- Demonstrable leadership skills, holding people accountable up and down to achieve projects with a say/do mentality.

To be considered for this role you will need to be:

- A qualified mechanical, process or production engineer. 

- Degree in either Engineering or Science subject

- Chartered Engineer / MIET / EurIng
