Commissioning Officer

I am currently recruiting for a commissioning officer to work in Hackney.

This role is initially for 6 months with a potential to continue.

This is an exciting and important role in an Integrated Commissioning Team.

You will support the Joint Strategic Commissioner to achieve health and social care priorities for people with learning disabilities and autism.

The aim is to improve social, health and wellbeing outcomes for residents in the London Borough of Hackney, so you will need vision, drive, commitment and enthusiasm to support the delivery of our challenging agenda.

You will support and lead commissioning initiatives and projects and manage a portfolio of commissioned services.

This will ensure the delivery of high quality services in line with the recently developed Learning Disabilities' Strategy.

You will commission innovative, value for money services, provide updates in light of new national and local priorities.

Examples would be leading on an initiative to prevent hospital admissions and developing independent living schemes in the borough.

Using the commissioning cycle, you will play a crucial role in ensuring effective analysis, design, co-production, procurement, management, and evaluation of services across the portfolio.

Co-production is a core part of what we do, so you will plan and manage consultation and engagement processes to ensure that strategies and services are developed with service users, carers, colleagues, Councillors and other partners.
