SEN Travel Officer

SEN Travel Officer needed with Reading Borough Council

Start Date- ASAP

Location - Reading

Duration - Initially 3 months

Hours per week - 37 hours per week

Salary - Up to £30ltd per hour

Description:

• To provide travel training for young people with SEN and disabilities travelling between their home address and school


• To liaise with SEN Officers, schools, and parent/carers to develop individual travel training and personal safety plans for identified young people


• To plan travel routes and undertake risk assessments ensuring that young people are not exposed to unnecessary risks during or following training

What is required?

• Experience of working with children and young people in a school or transport setting


• Knowledge of Special Educational Needs (SEN)
