Laboratory Technician

Manucomm Recruitment are looking to recruit a laboratory technician / lab assistant for one of their clients sites based near Aston, Birmingham.

This is an ideal opportunity for you to either grow your career in a Lab based role that offers opportunities and progression for the future or will suit a lab technician looking for a new challenge.

 The basic salary on this role is £21069 however with the shift premiums this should take your salary up to around £24,500 p.a.

 This role this role is a rotating 3 shift role 6 - 2/ 2-10 / 10 -6 and the successful candidate will be expected to work all three shifts and also will involve tasting alcohol
 
 
As the laboratory technician working for this successful FMCG manufacturer you will be responsible for: -
·Work in accordance to good laboratory practice guidelines
·Produce samples to meet deadlines under supervision of other technicians
·Ensure samples are accurately made & appropriately presented
·Record all observations during samples preparation.


·Use of laboratory equipment
 
The successful laboratory technician will have: -
·At least GCSE Level in Maths and English and Science
·Previous Food or Drink lab experience
·Must be able to taste test alcohol
·Basic computer skills
·Enthusiasm to learn and apply new skills
·Good communication skills
 
Currently the shifts are; 06:00 to 14:00, 14:00 to 22:00 and 22:00 to 06:00.
