Assistant Commissioning Officer needed with South Gloucestershire Council

Start Date- ASAP

Location - Yate

Duration - Initially 3 months

Hours per week - 37 hours per week

Salary - £13.17 an hour

Description:

• The Partnership and Commissioning team is a critical team within the Department of People and its purpose is to support the social care teams in finding appropriate care for adults, which is of good quality, offers value for money and achieves the best possible outcomes.
  
  These placements will support current teams with the Winter Discharge from hospital waiting lists in sourcing suitable providers


• Provide support to a group of staff ensuring that work is allocated effectively


• Maintain and update information systems and databases to ensure that service transactions are completed accurately


• Provide advice to customers, contacts, external organisations and colleagues, ensuring that they receive appropriate guidance about policies, procedures and processes


• Carry out research; collate data and present information

What is required?

• You will have relevant knowledge and experience of working in an organisation that commissions and contracts in social care or similar services


• You will have excellent interpersonal skills, in establishing positive relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders' contacts and customers


• You will need to be competent in the use of databases and be able to record accurate information on spreadsheets


• Experience within a similar role
