The Role

You will ensure that allocated machinery is operated safely, producing quality material / items according to instructions in appropriate times.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate a range of machinery within a powder mixing environment, including the following
• Menu weighing scales
• Mixing machines and crushing / processing machines
• Overhead hoists and manual handling equipment (Manipulators)
• Operation of a Cold Isostatic Press, including: Weighing and filling cans & bags with mixed powder
• Use of scales and manual handling equipment
• Operate a continuous pusher furnace
• Ensure work in carried out in a safe manner both to themselves and to their colleagues
• Ensure that health and safety guidelines and practices are followed in line with company policy.
• Ensure work in carried out in a safe manner both to themselves and to their colleagues
• Ensure compliance with all relevant H&S policies and procedures within the workplace
• Completion of accurate paperwork for job operations as well as inputting and recording of material usage a.
  
  Inputting and recording in an ERP system the actual material usage on jobs

Chemical Blender

The Candidate

• Engineering Experience
• Experience working in an engineering setting, with some basic machinery experience
• Understanding of engineering practices and methods
• Computer skills a.
  
  Experience inputting data into ERP systems or some form of data control
• Good understanding of computer programs (Word, Excel etc...)
• Able to navigate and have an understanding around directory structures and network drives
