2fawcett have an exciting opportunity for a Logistics Manager to join a long-established business in Leicester on a full time, permanent basis.

As a Logistics Manager you will oversee for Warehouse Operations, Transport & International Shipping.



Responsibilities of the Logistics Manager
, Reviewing and optimising picking, packing, palletising and goods receipt, transfers, and their related processes ongoing
, Co-ordination and monitoring of day-to-day actions
, Responsible for health and safety aspects for all warehousing staff
, Manage the Import / Export of goods
, Negotiate contracts, transportation, and handling costs of goods
, Investigate and plan appropriate routes for shipments according to a variety of details including nature of goods, cost, transit time and security measures
, Precisely and thoroughly completed tariff classifications, audit documentation, customs declarations, and associated documentation
, Selected carriers according to specific customer requirements, arranging cost-effective, timely transport provisions
, Prepare accurate, appropriate documentation for export shipments for destination and origin countries
, Assess paperwork to make appropriate customs declarations for timely shipment processing
, Manage & the support the Internal Transport team to ensure on time delivery
, Budgeting & Planning
, Training & development of Staff

Requirements of the Logistics Manager
, Proven experience in Export and logistics management
, Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
, Good experience and knowledge of international export
, Experience in working with deadlines is essential
, Manged large teams in a Warehouse environment
