Business Development Manager - Transport/Logistics

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER - TRANSPORT/LOGISTICS


REMOTE (UK ONLY)


£45,000 Basic + £60k OTE (CAR ALLOWANCE + BONUS)



We now have a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious, enthusiastic, outgoing and professional Business Development Manager to join a stable and growing commercial sales team in a B2B role in the UK, this is a remote home based role with occasional office meetings, overnight stays or travel required.

The company is involved in supplying various types of warehouse equipment and are one the most well-known brands within the material sector, being a true market leader, looking to bring new sales people in to increase market share further.



Ideally you will have an understanding or background in logistics, continuous improvement, automation, commercial machinery, equipment suppliers, Freight forwarding, transport or material handling equipment.



This opportunity would suit an ambitious experienced Sales Executive, BDM, Business Development Executive, sales manager, field sales manager, business development manager, area sales manager within a commercial, industrial or B2B role, with a long term approach to the sales process, much more about building rapport and relationships to close the sale but with long term client relationships very much in mind.



BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER



  • Assisting with sales enquires, business meetings and events.

  • Cold calling, prospecting & lead generation

  • Identifying potential markets and applications for the product range.

  • Coordinating the day-to-day sales activities of the business.

  • Managing call records and sales pipeline.

  • Conducting remote meetings & demonstrations

  • Negotiating and closing sales

  • Forecasting data in team meetings

  • Comfortable dealing with academic and corporate client base

  • Familiar with CRM systems and Microsoft programmes

  • Complete site surveys to understand specific customer requirements.


THE PERSON:



  • Business to business sales experience

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Enthusiastic and professional approach

  • An understanding or background in commercial equipment suppliers, automation, commercial machinery, logistics, Continuous Improvement or material handling equipment.

  • Fluent in English, written and spoken

  • A relationship builder with strong communication and problem solving skills

  • Develop and maintain good solid business relationships with clients and able to work under pressure in different work situations.

  • Experience as a Business Development Executive, sales manager, field sales manager, business development manager, area sales manager in a commercial role

  • Proactive and seeks out new business and new opportunities
