BSP TEX Ltd is a leader in the design and manufacture of trailers and equipment and is proud to be part of the wider Tex Group Ltd.

We are now looking to recruit a capable and experienced individual to join the trailer division (RM Trailers), near Winchester. 

The role is varied and involves a wide range of elements within a small but very busy manufacturing office and therefore the role requires someone who can multi-task and support the function wearing ‘multiple hats’.

Role & Responsibilities - Design and Manufacturing Officer:

Candidates are expected to have an engineering background and/or have proven experience.  The successful candidate will report to the Divisional Manger and will play a key role to ensure the Company develops successful and innovative products.

• Acting as referral point for workshop staff in all matters relating CAD drawings.
• Modification of existing designs as well as design bespoke solutions.
• Working closely with the manufacturing team, providing detailed drawings and specifications for fabrication, machining and assembly.
• Operate within a Quality system to ISO 9001:2015.
• General office support as required by the manager.

Experience & Skills:

• Experience in 2D and 3D using Solid works.
• Experience in producing engineering drawings for various methods of manufacture to be employed such as; steel fabrications, steel profiles, turning, boring and milling.
• Practical skills to cover trailer and vehicle pre delivery inspections.
• Engineering Design: minimum 3 years.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good team working skills with the ability to take the lead where necessary.
• Full Drivers Licence required.
• Right to work in UK.
