Location: Aberdeen (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £100k + Pension + Life Assurance + Healthcare + 33days Holidays + Other benefits

The Client:

Our client is a leading provider of data science and predictive analysis services for the oil and gas industry.

The company work closely with oil and gas operating companies as a remote extension of their asset teams; helping them to solve complex problems, improve efficiency, reduce costs and mitigate risks by making better use of their operational data.



The Role:

The Senior Process Engineer provides functional knowledge in oil and gas process engineering to the operations team to support deployed services as well as new product development.



Responsibilities and Duties:



* Provide specialised technical and functional expertise to improve asset performance.




* Provide input to the design and development of new products, applications and tools


* Executes engineering design calculations for products and service enhancements


* Design and development of calculation, measurement, and monitoring techniques for Emissions Reduction offering


* Develop revised operational strategies that align with the client's needs


* Provide process engineering and process control support during project proposal development


* Identify opportunities for continuously improving plant safety, operability, efficiency or profitability related to specific assignments


* Liaise with customer representatives as required


* Provide technical mentoring to discipline engineers and analysts


* Provide appropriate process engineering input to operational activities undertaken by other discipline engineers within project team


* Ensure information provided to the project are technically accurate


* Perform engineering simulation modelling and related calculations


* Provide pro-active, constructive and innovative input to enhance present practices


* Comply with technical compliance and quality management standards, tools and techniques


Personal Specification:

Qualifications:



* Chartered, or seeking Chartership


* Masters or Bachelors (Honours) Chemical Engineering degree from an IChemE accredited University


* Fluency in English


* Full domestic/international mobility (including offshore travel)


Experience:



* 5 years + process engineering practitioner (operations)


* Experience in process related standards


* Working experience in process simulations


* Established track record of operational support to onshore and offshore assets


Skills:



* MS Office 365 Suite of products


* Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written


* Strong organisational and analytical skills


* Excellent technical skills


* The ability to prioritise, work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines


* An understanding of the principles of safe process engineering design


* The ability to plan and organize work flow in efficient manner


* Experience of working with data sources and performing data analysis
