Head Chef / Kitchen Manager

Location: San Jose, California

Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 + great benefits package


The Company:

This is a family owned and operated restaurant group with multiple locations in The Bay area.

They are going to opening their fifth restaurant in San Jose early 2023 and are looking to bring on top talent to assist with the opening.

They have a family first culture and an open-door policy.

They are renowned for creating a great team environment and a wonderful place to work.

The menu is traditional American cuisine and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

The menu is created by the culinary director, so the role is focusing on menu execution and managing a large team.

The Role:

  • Ensures high quality, palatable and well-presented foods are served
  • Produces dishes to meet customer preferences, seasonal variances and cost objectives
  • Ensures standards are met and enforced
  • Implements and maintains routine cleaning procedures
  • Must be knowledgeable of Department of Health regulations and standards
  • Ensures team member practices comply with standards


  • 3+ years’ Executive Chef experience
  • American Culinary Federation certification desirable
  • Ability to organize workloads and meet time deadlines
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience managing large teams (40 +)
