Solicitor Criminal Defence and Professional Disciplinary

Location: Farringdon, (EC1M)

Salary: £50,000 - £65,000 per year

The Role:

An Excellent opportunity for a criminal defence & professional disciplinary solicitor in a busy litigation boutique ranked by both the Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners in Farringdon, London.

The company offers solicitors an excellent salary of 50-65k with 30% bonus over target & excellent career progression.

Job Duties:



* The successful solicitor will undertake criminal defence and professional regulatory/disciplinary work.




* They will work collaboratively with other members of the team and report to the founding partner.




* They should be adept at running their own caseload and progressing matters with supervision.




* The department works on a privately funded basis and the client base predominantly comprises of professional individuals.

Applicants should have experience with private instructions.




* They should also be natural communicators and comfortable advising people from a wide range of backgrounds.




* Applicants will be able to demonstrate achievement at a leading firm or specialist boutique firm.




* They will be expected to give specific examples of cases that they have worked on from investigation to trial.




* They will be expected to talk about their commercial understanding of private criminal practice, their financial performance and ability to meet targets.


The ideal candidate will have:



* 2-3 years PQE as a solicitor within private practise working on criminal defence and Professional Disciplinary.


* They must have experience of police investigations and defending criminal prosecutions and an excellent knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Rules.


* Excellent IT skills, including the advance features of Microsoft Office and prior use of case management systems.


* The ideal solicitor will be ambitious and creative who will contribute to the firms development by seeking to engage in marketing and business development opportunities.




* The potential for medium to long term rewards for such a candidate are significant.
