Location: Leeds

Salary: £28,000-£32,000 depending on experience

Full time, permanent role, Overtime hours available

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Transport Account Manager to join our growing team, based full time from an external site in Leeds.

As a member of the recoveries team, you will act as a company representative for one of our biggest key accounts.

This role is perfect for individuals that may have worked in the transport planning, vehicle breakdown and recovery industry or as an Account Manager within the logistics industry.

Key responsibilities include:

- Developing and executing transportation plans and schedules that optimise cost, service and efficiency.

- Coordinating and managing the breakdown and recovery process, resolving any transportation issues.

- Monitoring and reporting on breakdown performance, including arrival times, cost and service levels.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams both onsite in Leeds as well as liaising with the Leicester office, to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues.

- Ensuring times and schedules are updated for every job, updating two separate CRM/Processing systems accordingly.

- Acting as a customer liaison for the company when working directly within the customer site.

- Analysing and improving transportation processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs and minimise waste.

- Ensuring delays or issues with ongoing jobs are dealt with in a timely and calm way.

The ideal Transport Account Manager will have:

- Previous experience in logistics, transport planning, breakdown or a related field.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Professional and friendly telephone manner.

- Experience with transportation management systems (TMS) and logistics software.

- A hands-on approach and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
