Salary of £35,500 to £42,000 per annum
We are currently looking for a Sommelier with a warm and welcoming personality to join the team of an award-winning 2 Michelin star restaurant.
The restaurant is a hidden gem in central London using the finest quality ingredients to create a bold, balanced, and inventive menu, working with specialist growers and farmers in the UK.
We are looking for a charismatic, passionate, talkative, and open-minded person with a good 'old world' wine knowledge (focus on French wines) who will help the Head Sommelier throughout the service and doesn't mind helping on the restaurant floor when needed.
The restaurant is small and intimate, with 10 tables; with an easy-to-serve tasting menu.
It has a strong management team who firmly believes in looking after its staff and being as fun and rewarding as possible.

Things you will be doing as a Sommelier
- Assisting with wine and beverage service in this 2-star Michelin restaurant
- Assisting and updating the wine list
- Recommending food and wine pairings
- Advising guests on wines based on their personal tastes
- Greeting customers in a professional way
- Be able to suggest wines based on the food selection served
You will be a great fit if you:
- Are a driven sommelier who wants to be a part of a unique team
- Have great knowledge of wine and have worked in a similar Sommelier role, in a similar fine-dining environment
- Have full knowledge of the drink's selection (cocktails, teas, coffees, etc)
- Have a good 'old world' wine knowledge
- Are friendly, organised, and have a great personality
- Have excellent communication skills
- Know the basics of food and wine pairing
- Have stock management understanding
- Have knowledge of table service skills and etiquette
- Have a positive attitude
- Can work as part of a team
