Assistant Counsel

Sacco Mann is working alongside an FCA regulated investment company which manages the assets through both internal and external management within a number of investment vehicles.

Within the group is the integral legal department which is seeking to appoint a commercial generalist to compliment the team, which alongside group functions is also responsible for compliance with the Data Protection and Freedom of Information Acts.

Reporting into the Head of Legal who in turn reports into the CEO, the role will have genuine depth and variety, but day to day you can expect to a caseload that includes reviewing, negotiating, drafting and amending an array of contracts.

You'll play a leading role in risk assessing and advising stakeholders of their options and risks as well as providing advice on Public Procurement legislation and application on all relevant procurements within the organisation.

This is likely to suit someone with a some PQE in any of the following disciplines; commercial contracts, procurement, data protection or financial services, though you'll be the type of person who will excel in building relationships and project managing, as you'll attend meetings and work with key stakeholders, advising and providing legal support during the commercial tendering
