Adoption Social Worker

A Regional Adoption Agency in the West Midlands are looking for a Locum Qualified Social Worker to complete adoption assessments and preparation, promoting early permanence.

What's on Offer?

• Pay rate of up to £33.30 per hour


• Full time role - 37 hours per week

• Work under a very stable Head of Service and management team


• Remote working except for visits and team meetings

• Access to training, with full systems and team induction

Responsibilities of the Locum Senior Social Worker:

• Assessing prospective adoptive families


• Attending Adoption information events


• Undertaking initial conversations with applicants interested in adoption


• Delivering adoption preparation training


• Undertaking prospective adopters report assessments and being able to meet deadline for completion in stage 2 of 16 weeks


• Attending adoption panel for adopters approval or court for non-agency cases

Requirements of the Locum Senior Social Worker:

• Social Work England Registration


• A recognised Social Work degree


• Clear enhanced DBS

• 3 years' experience working in Family Placements, ideally in adoption

Pay rate: Up to £33.30 per hour
