37.5 Hours per week (Long Day 07:00-21:30 and Nights 21:15-07:15) 12 Month Contract
£12ph Weekdays, £15ph Nights and Saturdays £18ph Sundays and Bank Holidays

Kingscroft is a short break (respite) service with 7 beds for adults over 18 with learning disabilities and additional specialist and complex healthcare needs, living in Surrey.

It is a ground floor building providing modern facilities including two lounges, Arjo jacuzzi baths, a sensory room, ceiling tracking, profiling beds and TV/DVD in all bedrooms as well as a large sensory garden area with in-ground trampoline.

Kingscroft provides a person centred planned short break to those known to the service.

They do not provide emergency admissions to those unknown to the service.

Main duties of the job

As a mental Health care assistant you will be responsible for implementing care plans for patients and helping them with their day to day lives and recoveries.

You will also be required to perform observations with a focus on spotting any deterioration or changes to their wellbeing.

Summary of day-to-day responsibility

To observe report and record changes in the patient physical, mental health and behaviour
To provide care for people who use our services as planned in Multi disciplinary Team (MDT) meetings
To be aware of and work to the principles of the Mental Health Act (MHA)
To give and receive clear messages by telephone and or personal contact
To provide the necessary physical care to people who use our services to help them complete daily living activities i.e.

personal hygiene, diet and fluid intake, clothing and laundry, personal environment, elimination, maintaining rest and sleep and activity, physical observations.

We also offer a £150 bonus for starting a contract with Service Care Solutions, this will be paid to you after your 4th week of work.
