Engineering Transformation Manager

Our client is a well-established market leading manufacturing business, based close to the Hainault, Essex area.

Due to company expansion and investment, they are now seeking an Engineering Transformation Manager to take their maintenance capabilities to the next level, by supporting and managing a small team of engineers.

This is an exciting opportunity where you will manage all aspects of engineering maintenance activities, implementing new maintenance plans, and developing the maintenance team through training, coaching, and mentoring.

As the Engineering Transformation Manager, you will lead improvement projects on site, driving a proactive maintenance culture, undertaking development of systems, legislative requirements and value engineering will also be part of this role as Engineering Manager.

As Engineering Transformation Manager you will also have experience of:

• Working within a manufacturing environment as an engineering manager, Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering Team Leader, accustomed to leading teams of maintenance engineers


• Implementation of projects and systems including PPMs


• Developing teams of engineers, improving plant performance


• Working closely with production teams to ensure the plant is constantly improving its process


• Both preventative and reactive maintenance


• Budgetary control of all aspects of the engineering & maintenance annual budget


• Leading improvement projects, such as stores and parts control driving a proactive maintenance culture.

The Successful Applicant as Engineering Transformation Manager will have:

• Proven engineering and maintenance experience of running multi-disciplined engineering teams, supported with a certified engineering qualification - Mechanical or Electrical engineering


• Proven experience in project management and undertaking process improvements


• Effective communication skills at all levels


• Experience working within a manufacturing environment
