Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a market-leading international manufacturing organisation with impressive growth plans based at their factory close to the Almondsbury area of Bristol.
The role offers a salary of up to £43,000 working shifts, with 2 weekends in every 4 off, plus an industry-leading benefits package, as well as premium overtime and a KPI based bonus.

What's in it for you as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Fitter:
- Salary circa £41,000 to £43,000 per annum, incl shift premium, overtime available at a premium to further enhance earnings
- Average bonus also available over £2k per annum

Key Duties of Mechanical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Fitter:
- Responsible for mechanical breakdowns, fault finding and repairing manufacturing machinery
- Monitor & supply Engineering support of machine set-up & changeovers to ensure that the product conforms to any quality assurance standards and ensuring changeovers are as efficient as possible
- Maintenance of manufacturing machinery covering shafts, bearings, hydraulics/pneumatics etc.
- Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance, Inspections, Service, and Repairs of machinery
- Opportunity to be involved with a wide range of maintenance operations and projects
- Promote the development and implementation of the Factory IMS & CMMS system
- Apply rigorous application of TPM Tools & Techniques to generate Continuous Improvement applying the 5S principles.
Experience and Qualifications Required:
- Engineering qualified by either Apprenticeship: City and Guilds Level 3, NVQ Level 3 and BTEC Level 3/ HNC/ in Mechanical Engineering; or Advanced Apprenticeship
- Experience and sound knowledge of covering shafts, bearings, hydraulics/pneumatics etc.
- Ability to fault find, repair, and provide solutions to machinery problems
- Previous Maintenance Engineer/ Maintenance Fitter/ fitting experience carrying out industrial planned and reactive maintenance
- The ability to work within a fast-paced manufacturing environment undertaking PPM
