IT Director

  • Supports the clients priorities and goals, determines the operating model for ICT to foster business-oriented and digital-ready culture, mindsets and practices.

    Develop the maturity of the processes and procedures especially ICT operational support model including backups, security, monitoring and work request prioritisation and PMO management.

  • Shapes and drives thier ICT strategy which consolidates inputs from all key internal partners.

    Leads the development of the ICT strategic plan and roadmap to meet ICT and business needs and aligns with WBCSD's strategic vision.

  • Contributes as a trusted advisor to ensure all leaders, with the support of COO, make confident decisions about the ICT application within their functions and across all global locations namely Amsterdam, Geneva (HQ), London, New York and Singapore.

    Ability to manage geographical locations and remote teams/partners.

  • Ensures ICT capabilities are delivered reliably, sustainably, cost effectively, securely and contributions are delivered with agility based on changing business objectives, goals and strategies.

  • Provides strategic direction and oversight for the design, development, operation of the network / architecture management, application management, security and risk management, and infrastructure and operations support management.

  • Develops and controls annual operating and capital expenditure budget for ICT to ensure the investment in technologies is consistent with the organisations overall strategic objectives and is within plan.

  • ICT sourcing strategy: provides oversight for strategic vendor selection and partner relationship management for critical applications.

    Ability to identify and leverage resources internally and externally to enhance capabilities that drive operational excellence.

  • Engages and builds strong partnerships with HR, Finance, Business Engagement, Marketing and Events and Projects to meet their ICT requirements for example critical application support includes Microsoft 365 and Salesforce.

    Ability to effectively communicate and in-still confidence with all key stakeholders.

  • Supports COO to drive culture change through change management, PMO and other initiatives identified as part of Business Transformation Programme.

  • Provides leadership, management, mentoring / coaching to ICT team comprising of 4 team members based between Geneva and Amsterdam.

  • Strong hands-on understanding of infrastructure, networks, and business application support operational requirements eg, back-up strategy, disaster recovery, security, helpdesk work flow management, test environments and systems monitoring and escalations.

    Knowledge of cloud infrastructure, including experience with AWS, Azure platform and Salesforce platform, Cyber security and compliance preferred.

  • Reviews new advancements in technologies, innovation and platforms to provide direction on what is emerging and could be introduced to ensure ICT capabilities respond to changing requirements especially within data compliance and cyber security.
