THE OPPORTUNITY:

Get Recruited is partnered with a leading £300m+ public sector organisation.

They're looking to hire a Financial Controller, to join a busy finance team, including 4 direct reports and support the Deputy Director

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER DUTIES WILL INCLUDE:

• Review, lead and report on the annual and 5-year cashflow forecast and related reports for the organisation prepared by the Treasury Accountant


• Advise senior budget holders, the Chief Operating Group and Authority on the impact of decisions on the Force cash balance.


• Be the lead for accounts payable and receivable services including monitoring performance indicators.


• Lead on counter- fraud and the monitoring of fraud controls across the Finance Department


• Identify and manage risks surrounding financial fraud, systems, transactions and treasury.


• Review and advise on long term financial system action plan.


• Support the Deputy Director and Senior Financial Accountant on the preparation of a fair and complete set of unqualified year-end financial statements and on other accounting matters where required.

FINANCIAL CONTROLLER KEY EXPERIENCE:

• ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified


• Minimum 3 years demonstrable experience in a similar level Financial Controller role.


• Understanding or working knowledge of IRFS 16


• Strong MS Excel experience

THE FINANCIAL CONGTROLLER SALARY IS UP TO £62,000 BASE + BENEFITS
