Location: Portsmouth - hybrid

Salary: Up to £44,000 DOE

Structural FEA Engineer:

You will be joining a team of experienced Engineers with a focus on quality and innovative solutions for the Defence Maritime sector.

You will be supporting my clients Portsmouth based ships such as the Queen Elizabeth Class aircraft carriers, Type 45 destroyers, Hunt class Mine Countermeasure vessels and the River Class OPVs.

What you'll be doing as a Structural FEA Engineer:

• Conducting structural analyses using ANSYS FEA software, including ACP, and theoretical methods


• Design of ship modifications and capability upgrades


• Ensure the safe integration of new equipment into ships taking account of dynamic forces including shock and various design standards


• Consult and advise on ship's structure survey and repair


• Design new additional ship structure

Your skills and experience as a Structural FEA Engineer:

Essential

• Qualified to degree level in Mechanical Engineering or Structural Engineering or Naval Architecture /Marine Technology/ Ship Science.


• Experience as a Structural Engineer or Naval Architect using FEA
