Technology and Innovation Manager

This Technology and Innovation Manager position is with one of the world's largest and most reputable chemical and FMCG manufacturers.

Operating on a state-of-the-art site in South Wales, the company is continuing to invest millions of pounds on site into brand new innovative equipment, focused on automation and robotics.

The company manufactures some of the world's most recognisable brands from their upper-tier COMAH sites.

Strong investment into this site has led to the development of a world leading project and asset care team, regularly tasked with multi-million-pound projects.

With the addition of a Technology and Innovation Manager they are looking at strengthening this team.

Dimensions of the Technology and Innovation Manager position;

· Lead and ensure execution of the VIP Programs in the category.
· Single point of contact for inputs for various teams like - Cluster BD / BB / R&D / UENS / Category and SU's.

Will represent SC in RCLT or Cluster Category LT.
· Feed the definition - product, process and packaging design requirements for local market to Group Category for design adaptation and approval.
· Drives Capex leadership.
· Establishes the Financial Glide Plath for given segmented supply chains and responsible to drive improvement in ROA (return on assets)
· Develop and lead Capex planning and implementation prioritization.

· Drive Excellence / OTIF by leading EPM (which includes QA, product safety, planning and data co-ordination) and supporting EEM/DFM
· Responsible for technical risk assessments to avoid quality issues.
· Leads EPM
· Ensure harmonisation, simplification and flexible manufacturing.
· Commissioning (Post Dry Testing) Trouble-shooter with respect to product, process and packaging performance.

· Responsible for compliance to all local/national/regional regulatory requirements - Product, Process, Packaging

To be successful in this position as the Technology and Innovation Manager, candidates will need to be Engineering degree educated or have extensive industry experience.

I will consider candidates with Good Knowledge of Process and Equipment associated with an FMCG company.

The Technology and Innovation Manager candidates must be able to prepare machine/ process stream specifications and machinery project networks.

The Technology and Innovation Manager must have knowledge and experience in Manufacturing including statistical analysis and process control, supplier assessment and capabilities, risk assessments for raw materials / packing materials / formulations and validation of in -house and co-making operations.
