Graphic Designer - Global Brand


  • Graphic Designer

  • £40,000 per annum

  • Initial contract until 30th June but if all is going well could be a full 18 month position

  • Role based in Cambridge - Hybrid working 50% office 50% remote working



We are looking for a Graphic Designer to work on a variety of print and digital projects for a global computer science research organisation based in Cambridge.



As an in-house Graphic Designer you will use your design skills to create and deliver innovative on-brand print and digital projects.



You will be involved in projects from concept through to completion - working closely and communicating directly with project leads to establish their requirements.



Job specification:



  • Design and production of print and digital marketing materials

  • Work on researcher design requests as necessary

  • Creation of bespoke graphics

  • Design of branded merchandise

  • Creation of PowerPoint decks and digital signage

  • Help maintain a collection of internal and external web pages

  • Maintain our image library

  • Work with suppliers to convey requirements and obtain quotes



Experience and Qualifications:



  • Proven success in a Graphic Design role.

    Minimum of 5 years' experience

  • Understanding of brand guidelines and how to utilise them creatively

  • Strong commercial knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Figma

  • Experience creating both print and digital marketing materials

  • Experience directly briefing print and merchandise suppliers

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint

  • Previous experience of working in a technical environment would be desirable

  • Basic HTML and CSS coding skills, experience with WordPress and SharePoint would be beneficial, but not essential
