A well reputed, international manufacturing business in the Whittlesey area are seeking to recruit a packaging design specialist due to a retirement from the team

The Packaging Design Specialist role:

• Working closely with the client and internal stakeholders, you will understand the requirements of each packaging project.


• Design, develop and prototype Medium and heavy-duty packaging solutions.


• Operation of ArtiosCAD system to design and generate 2D drawings.


• Development packaging solutions considering the following factors:




• Cost


• Weight


• Fragility of product


• Handling method


• Value of product




• Operate a Kongsberg Cutter table to facilitate prototype development.


• Appraise and select appropriate materials for each project.


• Work closely with the manufacturing team.

The successful Packaging Design Specialist:

• CAD experience, ideally Kasemake or Artios but others are acceptable as training can be provided.


• Strong communication skills and ability to absorb information from clients internally and externally.


• Experience of developing packaging solutions within Card, corrugated, or plastics.


• Structural Packaging design experience is highly advantageous within this application.


• Office 365 experience

Up to £35,000 per annum (dependant on experience)
