My Client who is a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Tool Maker to join their team.

Tool Maker Requirements:

The Candidate:

• Time served and experienced within a Tooling manufacturing organisation.
• Be driven and self- motivated.

• The ability to process and retain information.
• Dexterity and accuracy while working in a fast-paced environment.

Tool Maker Duties:

• Prioritise and conduct tooling repairs, insert changes and modifications
• Strip, assess and commission new tooling ensuring it adheres to Company standard and expectations.
  
  
• Support the sampling of new tools and modify where necessary
• Identifying, and sourcing of replacement parts, tooling and consumables
• Manage, assess and prioritise jig, fixture and stillage requests.
• Conduct the modification and repairs of stillages, bonding, assembly, routing and machining fixtures as necessary.
• Support the team in communicating with Production/Technical sales to identify lead time, build stock to create window for repair and ensure tooling/fixture ready for next production run
• Assist with sub-contractors to ensure tooling, jigs, fixtures and stillage are to the required Company standard,
• Assist with the reversal of engineer bespoke tooling requirements of current products, document, source and hold critical spares as required and issue to production as needed.
• Specify source and introduce tooling for post moulding operations
• Specify, source, manufacture post moulding fixtures as necessary

Support the team in the evaluation of current production processes

Assist with the evaluation of new product lines, specify new assembly tooling, fixtures, stillage, and process requirements.
