Job Title: General Manager
Salary: 75,000- €85,000 per year
Based: Budapest

This is an exciting opportunity to head up multiple food and beverage operations in a new landmark, which will be Budapest’s tallest building.

The operations will consist of two restaurants: a ground floor traditional bistro, and a destination restaurant on the 28thtop floor. 

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all departments keep to agreed financial targets and budgets
• Work closely with finances department to set annual budget
• Forecasting quarterly revenue
• Overseeing all procurement to ensure that best price are achieved
• Maintain all health and safety requirements across the building
• Ensure all staff are motivated and happy in their roles
• Overseeing all stock management
• Overseeing marketing strategy
• Ensuring maintenance and garden work is all up-to-date
• Conducting annual reviews
• Dealing personally with all major complaints
• Support in recruitment

Skills & Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience working in fine dining restaurants
• At least 5 years’ experience managing in luxury hospitality (experience in members clubs an advantage)
• Experience working internationally in key cities and countries
• Knowledge of business processes and functions (finances, HR, procurement, operations)
• Budget management and strong analytical ability
• Ability to interpret and execute a strategic vision
• Hands-on, team player
• Understanding of all licensing agreements
• Complete understanding of food hygiene requirements
• A positive attitude and willingness to be flexible in helping all other departments
• Experience in maintaining stores and effective stock management
• Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
• Master at multi-tasking and delegating
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with leaders on all levels internally and externally
• Fluent in Hungarian and conversational English
