Location: York (Part-time)

Salary: £8,885.76 per annum + Excellent Benefits

The Client:

Our client is a well-established charity with multiple nurseries which provide full and part-time day care for children in the 6 weeks to 5 years age group.

They are looking for an Early Years Practitioner to join their team.

Duties:



* Ensure that the children receive the highest standard of care to promote positive behaviour.


* Be aware of child protection and Safeguarding issues and how to deal with them, ensuring our clients Confidentiality Policy is adhered to at all times.


* Liaise with parents/carers on a daily basis ensuring that parents receive accurate feedback and information about their child's day at nursery.


* Promote the independence of each individual child.


* Follow the appropriate procedures to ensure that the individual needs of every child are met.


* Work within agreed policies and ensure the principles are fully implemented.


* Plan a personal programme of Continuous Professional Development in conjunction with the Room Manager.


Skills and Experience:



* Level 3 Qualification in childcare / education / learning in the early years is essential.


* Certificate of Higher Education (required)


* Knowledge of Early Years Foundation Stage


* GCSE Grade C or above in Maths and English is also desirable but not essential.


* You must be a highly motivated and enthusiastic person who can work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
