Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer

Service Care Legal are currently working alongside a Local Authority, based in Derbyshire, which is in need of an experienced Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join their team.



Role: Commercial Contracts and Procurement Lawyer


Location: Derbyshire, remote


Contract Length: 3 months ongoing, 30-37 hours a week


Rate of Pay: £45- £55ph

The Role:



  • Provide effective and efficient legal advice to the County Council, partners and external customers to the highest standard

  • Deal with caseloads on Commercial Contracts and Procurement matters from start to completion.

    There will be a focus on Public Health and ICT contracts

  • To contribute to the positive and well managed running of the Council's legal team


The Person:



  • Someone with a minimum of 3+ years of PQE in Commercial Contracts and Procurement Law

  • Ideally someone who has worked for a Local Authority within a Commercial Contracts legal team

  • Someone with current, hands on experience of drafting legislation

  • Ideally someone with recent experience of Public Health and ICT contracts and experience of Public Procurement
