Mechanical + Electrical  Engineer

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Fareham

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 7am – 15.30pm

Salary: £35,000 - £38,000 per year

Nicholls and Clarke Glass are looking for an electrically skilled maintenance engineer who will provide effective engineering support with planned maintenance, breakdown repairs and remedial works to production machinery and equipment in our ever-growing business.

Responsibilities – Mechanical Engineer:

• Coordinate all maintenance work within the factory with the team to ensure that all reactive and planned preventative work is handled effectively, timely and safely with minimum disruption to production.
• Ensure company assets are maintained for maximum efficiency.
• Undertake planned maintenance tasks as instructed to the relevant engineering and safety standards.
• Perform remedial engineering works to equipment and machinery with the ability to react quickly to the needs of the business.
• Electrical fault finding and repairs.
• Flexible working hours when immediate repairs are necessary.
  
  Banked hours or overtime.
• Ensure cleanliness of work site.

• Own transport.
• Flexibility as occasional call outs may be required (banked hours/overtime).
• Experience working in a medium to high volume production environment and a proven working knowledge of assembly automation including PLC’s and CNC is desirable.
  
  A range of qualifications and experience in mechanical engineering and electrical roles.
