Costs Draftsperson


SaccoMann are working closely with a national law firm who are looking to bring an ambitious Costs Draftsperson to join the successful firm based in their modern central Sheffield offices.

Our client

With 15 established offices spanning across the UK, our client are a well-known national law firm with a wealth of expertise behind them in several areas of law.

They are known for the collegiate and close-knit working environment despite their national status.

The internal Costs team is one of the largest in the UK with over 100 members of the team at various stages of their careers.

The role

  • Helping to recover the legal costs from the losing side of a case

  • Representing clients in court hearings to help recover and/or challenge the legal cost payments on behalf of your clients

  • Preparing budgets for the running of a legal case and estimating

  • Claiming costs from the Legal Services Commission

  • Providing accurate advice to your clients and other institutions about best ways to fund costs

  • Drafting legal documents and contracts

The candidate

  • Previous experience as a Costs Draftsperson working on your own caseload is essential to be successful in this role

  • Demonstrable competencies in drafting points of dispute, points of reply, costs budgets and bills of costs is a must

  • You must be able to attend hearings with a flexible approach to your work
