Occupational Therapist - Permanent

Maxxima have recently partnered with one of the UK’s largest specialist provider of specialist neurological care and neuro rehabilitation.

We are currently looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist, who can provide overall support for the Care Home.

This post is based in Peterborough, which is easily accessible by public transport.

About the role:
As an Occupational Therapist, you will work closely with patients who have a wide range of neurological conditions, chronic disabilities and progressive conditions.

Your main responsibilities as an Occupational Therapist :

- To participate as a full member of the multidisciplinary team in the assessing, planning, implementation and evaluation of individual treatment and rehabilitation plans
- To liaise with relatives and carers with empathy giving information, support and advice
- To liaise with appropriate outside organisations for equipment provision
- To provide advice and support to staff by teaching relevant techniques to safely implement treatment plans
- To directly support and supervise staff ensuring professional lines of accountability and priorities are met and that all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to
- To provide feedback of training requirements to Therapy and Regional Managers on a regular basis

What we are looking for in an Occupational Therapist :

- The legal right to work in the UK
- Diploma / degree / masters in Occupational Therapy
- HCPC Registered
- Experience of working with adults living with dementia or other neurological conditions is required
- Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and of carrying out assessments under the Mental Capacity Act
