Internal Audit Manager - Financial Services 12 Month FTC

My client are a City based Insurance corporation who are seeking to appoint an experienced Lead Internal Auditor with strong communication skills to join them on a 12 month fixed term contract.

We need an experienced individual who is able to deliver end to end internal audits with minimal supervision.

The client operates a hybrid working policy with 1 day a week in the office and the rest working from home and so offers an enormous amount of flexibility.

As a Lead Internal Auditor, your responsibilities will include:

Leading and delivering a range of complex audits across the business.

Delivering end to end operational and financial audits.

Managing key stakeholder relationships with leadership personnel across the group in order to deliver the audits and deliver audit recommendations to address the areas of risk and failures in the control framework.

You will attend and present in stakeholder meetings.

Ensuring line management are familiar with the risk management programs and follow appropriate risk management procedures to control, monitor and report on business activities

Deliver the audits in time and to budget.

This is a highly respected and dynamic audit team and they seek to bring in someone who understands the importance of "value add".

Strong communication skills are essential as well as strong written report writing skills.

Previous internal audit experience is higly desirable and previous financial services experience is considered to be highly advantageous.

Any experience of insurance, dealing with the regulators, Solvency 2 and/or SOX is desirable.

Applicants will be ACA, ACCA, CMIIA, CIA or equivalent qualified or have ideally internal audit experience gained from within an insurance or financial services company.

As this role is a contract position, we are also open to professional contractors (who may be more experienced than needed, but can deliver the work with minimal supervision) who may not be interested in a longer term opportunity with the company (which may arise during the 12 months of the contract).

c£66 -73k + excellent benefits.
