Part or Newly Qualified In-house Patent Attorney

Our client are a forward thinking and diverse global organisation who pride themselves in their collaboration and teamwork.

Their impressive in-house patents teams are growing, therefore, are keen to hear from a Part and Newly Qualified Patent Attorney from any technical background to complement their close-knit team as they expand and develop their existing technologies, and venture into exciting new areas.

This role is based in their South Coast office.

You will play a pivotal role in the direction of this formidable business.

In addition to the significant exposure to all types of core patent work, including drafting, prosecution, oppositions, infringement and validity analyses, you will also have the opportunity to learn and develop your broader skillset including transactional IP (legal agreements, due diligence in M&A, venture capital), engaging directly with inventors and other commercial stakeholders.

Alongside the variety in legal work, some of the diverse technology areas in which you'll be exposed to are software, electronics, biotech and machinery, and you'll see the whole product development cycle whilst you're deeply involved at every step.

As an ideal candidate, it's imperative that you can comfortably communicate with both technical and business leaders, are a dynamic self-starter with a sound ability to manage your own workload within a fast-paced environment.

You must also be commercially minded and succinctly evaluate complex legal issues and deliver focused advice.
